Landscape Lighting
Landscape lighting extends the architectural composition into the garden and the long view. Specified well, it is invisible by day and quietly composed at night — a layered scene that makes the architecture sit in its setting rather than apart from it.
Manufacturers
- Garden Light LED
- Coastal Source — for coastal and salt-exposed environments
- FX Luminaire
All three lines are built for full weather exposure with IP66 ratings, CNC-machined fixtures in aluminum or raw brass, Cree binned LEDs for color consistency, and 20-year fixture warranties (lifetime on transformers).
What We Design
- Façade lighting — uplights, downlights, and grazes that articulate the building rather than flood it
- Path and step lighting — quiet, low, and ankle-friendly
- Garden lighting — accents on specimen plants, downlights from trees, and washes for hedging
- Pool and water-feature lighting — submerged and edge fixtures coordinated with the pool detail
- Dock and waterfront — for waterfront properties
Integration With the Interior
The landscape is part of the same scene system as the interior. An “evening” scene raises the façade and garden lighting as the interior dims. A “late” scene drops everything to a quiet perimeter level. The composition is unified rather than fragmented.
Specification Quality
Hardware quality matters more in landscape lighting than in any other category. Cheap aluminum fixtures corrode in three years; cheap LEDs shift color in five. The fixtures we specify are built to last twenty years in the conditions they will see — coastal salt, Texas sun, Florida humidity, Tennessee storms — and the warranties stand behind that.
